About this role
Saint Francis Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join its interventional cardiology and vascular surgery team in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This is a travel position running 91 days, starting September 22, 2026.
Schedule & Compensation
- 7 on / 7 off on-call rotation
- Paid 40 hours per week for on-call coverage
- On-call begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:30 AM Monday–Friday; 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday
- Average call-in cases occur approximately twice per week
- Every other weekend required; limited time off during holidays
- Weekly pay: $3,781
Your Responsibilities
- Provide imaging and scrub coverage for the hybrid vascular room outside scheduled hours
- Support three vascular surgeons performing arterial, visceral, and venous interventions including AAA stent procedures
- Assist with peripheral interventions, possible conversion to open surgery
- Scrub percutaneous portions; surgical tech available if cases convert to open
- Set up tray, injector, table operation, X-ray, imaging (DSA), and radiation safety protocols
- Assist with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and closure devices
- Work in inpatient and outpatient settings with adult and geriatric populations
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 2 years cath lab, IR, or special procedures tech experience
- Travel experience required
- Aseptic technique, airway management, line insertion, TEVAR, EVAR, endovascular aneurysm repair, CABG, carotid endarterectomy, cardiomyoplasty, ASD repair, atherectomy, and AAA repair
- Central line insertion/management, circulating, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, and VAD insertion
- Ability to scrub; open case scrubbing is a strong bonus
- Equipment documentation experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ARRT (if no RCIS) or RCIS (if no ARRT) required
- Permanent state license in-hand at time of submission; temporary licenses not accepted
