CT Technologist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. This is a nights position working 4x10 shifts with weekly pay of $3,052.

Role Overview

You will perform computed tomography imaging across all age groups in a Level II trauma facility. Your responsibilities include operating CT equipment, administering contrast via power injection injectors, and utilizing EPIC for documentation and workflow management. You will float across campuses as needed and work 1–2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). There are no on-call responsibilities and no required weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 36 months of CT experience with 24 months current in role (hospital or medical center setting preferred)
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment
• EPIC system experience
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; licensing candidates considered with 1–3 week turnaround
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) and ARRT certification
• Level II trauma experience required
• Recent stroke imaging experience required
• CT-specific skills checklist completion required

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with GE CT equipment
• Recent Level I trauma experience
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months

Work Environment

You will wear charcoal gray scrubs. This assignment offers stability with no on-call duties and no weekend requirements, though you will be expected to work designated summer holidays and float between campuses to support operational needs.
