CVOR Technologist Job in Baltimore, MD

Join MedStar Union Memorial Hospital as a CVOR Technologist on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work a 4x10 schedule, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities including one weekday shift per week and two full weekends per contract period. Weekday call runs Monday 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM; weekend call runs Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 6:00 AM. You will also complete two weeks and two weekends of on-site work within each six-week period.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum two years of CVOR experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to scrub and perform sterile duties
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Core Responsibilities:

You will scrub cases involving adult and geriatric patients, with expertise in procedures including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), ventricular assist device (VAD) support, angioplasty and stenting, aortic aneurysm repair, atrial septal defect repair, and atherectomy. You will manage case carts, instrument processing, sterilization and disinfection, high-level disinfection protocols, and specimen handling and labeling. You will maintain proficiency with electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment and light sources, crash carts, and laser safety procedures. Aseptic technique, isolation precautions, PPE protocols, radiation safety, sharps safety, fire safety, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures are core to your daily work.

Support Services:

The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation support, and unit secretary coverage.

Compensation and Timeline:

Weekly pay: $2,630. Assignment begins October 13, 2026. This is a travel position; housing and travel logistics will be coordinated separately.
