Respiratory Therapist Job in Albany, GA

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, on a 119-day travel assignment. This is a Friday–Sunday schedule, working three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Compensation & Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,049.84
• Clock in between 6:38 AM and 6:46 AM; arrivals after 6:46 AM are marked late
• Start date: June 8, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a 300+ bed facility
• At least 1 prior travel contract completed
• Critical care experience and RRT certification required
• Current certifications: RRT, Georgia state license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP if assigned to NICU)
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility

Clinical Responsibilities

• Handle 13–15 patients per shift with approximately 15 minutes per treatment and 550 minutes of treatments daily
• Perform all standard RT duties: nebulizer therapy, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and chest physiotherapy
• Intubate patients as first-line responder; manage high and heavy workloads
• In ICU: place A-lines, manage blood gases, perform intubations and bronchoscopy procedures, handle up to 4 airways per therapist
• Work with Servo ventilators (U and I models) and MEDITECH EMR system
• Assume charge RT and Clinical Coordinator duties

Orientation & Policies

• Floor orientation: first week hospital and charting, second week progressive treatment loads
• ICU assignments receive an additional orientation week
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff; expect every other holiday
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
• Dress code: ceil blue scrubs and ceil blue jacket only
