Medical Lab Technician Job in Coos Bay, OR

Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our Medical Laboratory team in Coos Bay, Oregon. This is a rotating shift position with a 91-day duration, starting October 1, 2026.

About the Role

You will perform laboratory testing and analysis using specialized equipment and computer systems. Your responsibilities include operating automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, and microscopes to process patient samples accurately and efficiently. You will also work with our Pevco pneumatic system as part of daily operations.

What We're Looking For

• BLS certification (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science (transcript or copy of academic degree required at hire)
• Working knowledge of LIS (Laboratory Information System) and HIS (Hospital Information System) computer systems
• Hands-on experience with specialized automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, and microscopes
• Experience with Pevco pneumatic systems
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• We will consider candidates with less than one year of experience

Compensation and Schedule

This position offers rotating shifts and weekly pay of $1,478. The assignment is 91 days in duration.
