PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a schedule of either 3x12s or 4x12s
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry competency required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Charting system: Epic
• Parking at no cost
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
• Special equipment includes Bipap, Cardizem gtt, Amiodarone gtt, Cardene gtt, and Nitro gtt (not for chest pain)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling approval can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission; no additional PTO will be approved after accepting the assignment
• Schedules must be flexible to fill the needs of the unit
