About this role
You will work as an Electrophysiology Technician at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, Wisconsin. This is a 91-day travel position on a 4x10 day shift schedule, working Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will earn $3,212 per week.
In this role, you will support cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, including TAVR and Left Atrial Appendage Closure cases. Your responsibilities include:
- Verifying package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies
- Preparing patients and equipment using sterile technique
- Monitoring and recording procedural data and maintaining procedural event logs
- Providing patient comfort and education about equipment and procedures
- Applying necessary monitors and preparing access sites with sterile drapes
- Using sterile and aseptic technique for infection prevention when scrubbing into procedures
- Advocating for radiation safety and protection for yourself and coworkers
- Wearing a personal radiation dosimeter and minimizing patient and staff radiation exposure
- Documenting fluoroscopy time and radiation doses within established safety limits
You will be on-call for one to two weeknights and every fourth weekend. This position requires a graduate of an accredited radiology program with education verification on file.
Required Credentials:
- AART registered
- Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License
- Cardiovascular Technologist registered
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
