OR RN Job in Alpine, TX

You will work as a registered nurse in the operating room at Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas. This is a contract replacement position for one nurse, running 91 days starting June 29, 2026.

What you'll do:

• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning patient care in the operating room
• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel
• Ensure supplies are available and cases stay on schedule
• Communicate with families and update physician preference cards
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Provide patient care according to the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and regulatory requirements
• Follow physician orders and hospital policies and procedures
• Accept some on-call responsibilities

What we need from you:

• Current Texas license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current)

The assignment:

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, days
• Duration: 91 days
• Weekly pay: $2,628
