Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Perform approximately 550 minutes of treatments per shift, averaging 15 minutes per treatment with 13-15 patients per shift
• Work on either Monday through Thursday team or Friday through Sunday team with rotating hours
• Holidays rotated with permanent staff; every other holiday can be expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Must be comfortable performing intubations as respiratory therapist serves as first responder for intubating patients
• Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizers, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and CPT
• ICU duties include placing A-lines, managing blood gases, intubating, and performing bronchoscopies
• Must be comfortable with high and heavy workloads
• Operate Servo vents (U and I models)
• Chart using MEDITECH EMR system
• Wear ceil blue scrubs; ceil blue jacket permitted
• Must be able to work adult ICU and manage ventilators
• Must be comfortable making suggestions for vent management and reading ABGs and alerting critical values
• Treat adult and pediatric patients; NICU RTs managed separately under nursing manager
• Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancer
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 travel contract
• Experience in facilities with 300+ beds required
• Critical care experience required
• RRT credential required
• Must be within 75-mile radius
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NRP required if working in NICU
• Georgia state license required
