Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Primary unit is PICU with required willingness to float to Pediatrics and NICU
• Weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 20-bed/20-room unit
• 4 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Care for patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics
• Required certifications: PALS and BLS; NRP preferred
• Valid California RN license required
• Required skills include: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, central line care, PICC line management, IV vasopressors, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), management of chest tubes, care of ventilated patients, pediatric dosage calculations, tracheostomy care, and additional advanced clinical skills
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Only 1 holiday per contract may be requested off
