<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM<br>• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule<br>• Patient ratios vary from 1:1, 1:2, to 1:3 depending on acuity level<br>• Mixed unit with ICU and step-down patients<br>• Float within scope to meet facility needs<br>• Holiday requirement if contract falls during holiday periods<br>• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks<br>• 2 years of PICU experience required<br>• First-time travelers accepted<br>• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred<br>• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)<br>• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required<br>• Care for children ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses<br>• Common diagnoses include respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical patients, and neurology/neurosurgery cases<br>• Provide ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis<br>• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pediatric dietitians, and pediatric pharmacists<br>• Epic charting system<br>• 12 hours of orientation provided<br>• Must complete pre-start modules (average 4 hours, non-billable)<br>• All RTO must be submitted at time of application<br>• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This facility operates a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children from across the state. The healthcare organization is a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility with Magnet Hospital designation, featuring 820 total staffed beds. The facility serves as a quaternary referral center for the region and provides comprehensive pediatric services including ECMO, CRRT, and various complex supportive therapies.
