Emergency Department RN Job in Crescent City, CA

Sutter Health Coast Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, on a day shift schedule working three 12-hour shifts per week at $2,506.98 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment, managing a 4:1 patient ratio. You will care for patients across all age groups—from neonates and infants through geriatrics—and work in a Trauma Level II facility. Self-scheduling is available, and every other weekend coverage is required.

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Valid California state nursing license
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or ARC provider)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting system proficiency

Clinical Skills & Competencies

You must demonstrate proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions and PPE use, IV vasopressor administration, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage assessment.

The facility provides 24 hours of orientation to ensure you integrate smoothly into the team. Interdisciplinary support is available through physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary staff.
