Occupational Therapist Travel Job in Richmond, VA

You will join CJW Medical's Johnston-Willis Campus as a travel Occupational Therapist, working within a 44-bed rehabilitation therapy unit. This is a 91-day assignment beginning June 22, 2026, with a 4x10 day schedule (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). Your weekly pay is $2,044.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a hospital inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Perform manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, and self-care instruction
• Conduct stroke evaluation and treatment
• Apply functional electrical stimulation and neuro re-education techniques
• Maintain patient documentation in Meditech Expanse
• Practice AIDET communication principles and immediate service recovery protocols
• Float to acute hospital services when rehabilitation census is low

Requirements

• 2 years of hospital setting experience required
• Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
• Hospital and inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred

Team and Setting

You will work alongside 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech member. The unit maintains a 4:1 patient ratio. Equipment available includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems. Weekend rotation is required as part of the schedule.
