About this role
Confluence Health Hospital-Central Campus is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join our surgical services team. This is a 92-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026, offering three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,915 weekly.
Position Overview:
You will provide direct patient care in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room, coordinating high-quality nursing care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice. You will develop, implement, and continually reassess each patient's individualized plan of care, from preoperative assessment through postoperative management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments according to protocols
- Collect and document comprehensive patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Perform holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately to changes
- Determine and implement appropriate nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative care goals
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and identify educational needs
- Educate patients, families, and significant others with timely health information and written materials
- Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain current knowledge of workflows, evidence-based procedures, and unit standards
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital and unit policies
Requirements:
- Current Washington State or Compact RN licensure
- CVOR experience with general OR experience and cardiac experience required
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- On-call responsibilities required
- May float in rotation and required to function as a sitter as needed
- Knowledge of Washington Nurse Practice Act guidelines
