Job Details:

• Night shift position with every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 in general emergency department; 1:6 in behavioral health locked units
• 3 years of experience required plus at least 1 travel assignment
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG, CEN
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: Cerner
• Community hospital experience required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in a 54-bed emergency department seeing approximately 120 visits per day
• Provide care in a Primary Stroke Center (Gold Plus designation with AHA)
• Support patients in 2 locked behavioral health units within the ED, supported by ED staffing and security team
• Work across 2 rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs with rapid medical screenings
• STEMI cases requiring cath intervention will be transferred to appropriate facility
• Required skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, IV vasopressors, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care and management, and care of ventilated patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
