Echo Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as an Echo Technologist at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a travel position with a 84-day contract starting June 29, 2026. You will work 5x8 hour day shifts and earn $2,275.20 per week.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Current BLS certification and at least one of the following: ARDMS, CCI RCS, or RDCS
• Travel experience required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Left-handed scanner capability required for this role

Clinical Skills

You must demonstrate competency in adult acute care and outpatient settings, emergency department procedures, and ICU-level imaging. Required skills include 2-D and 3-D echocardiography, bubble studies, color Doppler, contrast agent imaging, pharmacologic stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), treadmill stress testing, Simpson's Rule calculations, diastology assessment, LV strain and volume measurement, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area (PISA) analysis.

Equipment and Experience

You will work with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba ultrasound systems, as well as PACS. Community hospital experience and Trauma Level I and II experience are preferred.

Scheduling and Compliance

• Every other weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum 7 days of request time off per contract
• Holiday work required if holidays fall during assignment period (1–2 holidays)
• Full compliance required to start on schedule; non-compliance may result in a 2-week contract delay
• Clinical screening required for final approval
