Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care Med Surg

Job Details:

• Full-time position working 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Provide direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care
• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate care delivery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians and healthcare staff
• Provide patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as required
• Document patient care and education provided
• Participate in quality improvement activities and self-evaluation of practice
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• New York State RN licensure required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required
• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens reasonably anticipated
