Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend shifts required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for days, nights, and weekends
• 32-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Unit staffed with 7-9 RNs per shift and 3-4 techs
• Patient diagnoses include critical care stepdown, neuro/stroke, cardiac patients with planned interventions, and telemetry monitoring
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, CVA management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, pre/post cardiac cath, titration of cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and insulin drips
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• May be required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Must be licensed to practice in SC at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• 50-mile radius rule applies; locals accepted
• 2 supervisory references required
