Cath Lab Technologist Job in El Paso, TX

You'll work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso on a 13-week contract assignment. This position offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days per week, with a weekly pay rate of $2,628.

Role Overview

You'll support a cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology department performing a range of interventional procedures. The lab operates three cath rooms, two of which are EP-compatible. You'll work in a team environment alongside 2 RNs and 2 CV techs per case, handling procedures including cardiac catheterization, PCI, electrophysiology ablation (a-fib), Watchmen device placement, TAVR, INARI, and device implants such as PPMs, ICDs, and Impella support systems.

Schedule and Requirements

Your primary shift runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, though operational needs may require flexibility to work 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. You'll participate in call coverage distributed evenly among staff and cover weekend on-call shifts for emergent cases. This is a 91-day assignment beginning May 4, 2026.

Qualifications and Experience

You must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. RCIS or RCES certification is preferred. Prior cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology experience is preferred. You'll use the Meditech EMR system and work in a fast-paced setting where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Work Environment

Dress code requires royal blue or black scrubs. You'll be part of a specialized team managing complex cardiac interventions and supporting patients throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
