Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Lawrence, MA

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work with residents and care providers to deliver physical therapy services that maximize functional abilities and independence. You will perform therapeutic procedures under physician orders following evaluation by your supervising therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Treat residents according to department protocols and therapeutic plan of care
• Monitor treatment effects and progress treatment programs toward functional goals
• Document all therapeutic interactions with residents per department procedures on a timely basis
• Recommend and obtain appropriate assistive devices for residents with proper instruction
• Provide education to residents and caregivers with documented teaching results
• Attend all pertinent team meetings and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment
• Maintain department cleanliness and assist with routine equipment and space cleaning

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Therapy required
• PT Assistant License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent time management and documentation skills
