Opportunity:

RN - Wound Care Inpatient

Job Details:

• Day shifts scheduled as 4x10-hour shifts per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Treat a minimum of 5 to 15 patients per day depending on new consults
• Work within a team of 3 to 4 other RNs in this role
• Float to multiple facilities as needed, sometimes planned in advance
• Manage and coordinate patient care and wound management in accordance with established standards and overall plan of care
• Handle common diagnoses including ostomies, draining wounds or fistulas, pressure ulcers, vascular, arterial and diabetic ulcerations, skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures and/or trauma, skin/tissue integrity, altered continence, and wound vacs
• Perform consults and recommendations, documentation and billing, discharge planning for supplies, identification, assessment, prevention, and continuing education
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and photo documentation
• Operate Smith and Nephew wound vacs
• Chart using EPIC system
• No color preference for scrub/dress code
• CWON certification required; no previous travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, WOCN, Wound Care Certified (WCC) via NAWCO, and WA RN license
