About this role
University of Virginia Medical Center seeks an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. You will provide imaging support in the operating room, working with vascular interventional radiology procedures.
Assignment Details
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week duration beginning August 17, 2026
- Rotating call every 4th week
- Weekly pay: $3,168
- Up to 40 hours of RTO guaranteed per contract
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in special procedures or interventional radiology
- ARRT VI certification and BLS certification required
- Virginia license required (pending license acceptable if eligible for temporary licensure)
- Epic charting system experience required
- BSN preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Clinical Responsibilities
You will support a range of vascular interventional procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, upper and lower extremity angiography, and hybrid OR procedures. You will work with Siemens ARTIS PHENO equipment, prepare access sites, manage vascular closure systems, and perform ultrasound imaging. You will float within your scope of practice as needed throughout the facility.
