Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float requirement with agency pulled first
• Weekend coverage required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Must have minimum 2 years acute care experience and renal experience
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 2 years acute care experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA)
• Must maintain Louisiana license or compact license in hand upon submittal
• NURSYS reports required and must be up to date within 4 weeks of submission
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including AKI, CKD, ESRD, DM, COVID+, COPD exacerbations, wound infections, PVD/PAD, GI bleeds, and general medical/surgical conditions
• Work with special equipment including remote telemetry monitoring, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs, Pyxis, and EPIC charting system
• Handle general medicine cases, renal patients requiring dialysis, and general surgical procedures
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to stay at facility
• Strict no call-in policy enforced
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed per contract
