Ultrasound Technologist Job in Cumberland, MD

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at West Central – UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD. This role offers a 4x10 rotating shift schedule, with weekly compensation of $2,511.20. Your assignment begins September 14, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of technical ultrasound procedures independently using appropriate instrumentation and scanning techniques
• Correlate patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings to assist in medical diagnosis under direct physician supervision
• Demonstrate proficiency with equipment operations, applications, and scanning techniques to optimize image data and documentation
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures while adhering to universal protocol standards
• Obtain appropriate image documentation of cross-sectional anatomy in all body planes, identifying normal and abnormal tissues
• Correlate ultrasonic measurements of structures and organs with data charts, anatomical normal measurements, and computer data programs
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, with accurate charge entry
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and review patient history while assessing physician orders
• Document patient history in electronic records as required
• Communicate instructions to patients clearly and concisely to help allay fears and solicit cooperation

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by CAAHEP
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 certifications
