PCU RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN in the Progressive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM). You will earn $2,102.40 per week.

Your responsibilities:

• Care for post-operative patients from high-acuity surgeries, trauma patients, and high-acuity medical patients
• Manage patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Provide post-operative care with knowledge of BiPAP and cardiac drips
• Float to any department with equal or lower acuity as needed by the facility
• Utilize the Epic EMR system for patient documentation
• Work weekends as needed by facility, including every other weekend rotations

What we require:

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown experience
• Experience in stepdown or ICU settings, post-op care, BiPAP management, and cardiac drip knowledge
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills
• Flu vaccination required between November 1 and April 1

You will be part of a team providing skilled nursing care to patients transitioning from acute to lower-acuity settings. This role is ideal for nurses who have stepdown or ICU experience and are comfortable managing post-operative and medically complex patients.
