About this role

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 54-week travel assignment with a 3x12 day shift schedule, beginning May 18, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,446.20.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing catheterization procedures
  • Perform detailed patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
  • Review patient history and physical examination findings with patients and families within appropriate timeframes
  • Monitor diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
  • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care, including discharge planning and coordination
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate healthcare team activities under your supervision
  • Document all assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation activities in patient records
  • Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel and students

Requirements:

  • Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
  • Acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
  • Willingness to use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional certification in cardiac catheterization nursing

You will maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the cath lab environment and work within a varied schedule to support patient care delivery.
