CT Technologist Job in Chicago, IL

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Kindred Hospital - Chicago (North Campus). This is a day shift role offering 4x10-hour schedules with a 50% on-call requirement including every other weekend.

About the Role:

• Review patient history and physician orders prior to imaging procedures
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within your scope of practice when ordered
• Monitor patient condition continually and report or respond to any changes in status
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary
• Position patients and perform CT imaging procedures
• Analyze results and identify any issues with image quality
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including patient repositioning and procedure repeats
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
• Float between X-ray and CT departments as required

Requirements:

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ARRT certification in Radiology and CT
• Associate degree in radiologic technology
• Completion of CT technology certificate program (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT
