Med Surg RN Job in Reno, Nevada

You will work as a registered nurse on a 54-bed medical-surgical unit at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. This is a night shift position offering 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours.

Your Role:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Care for patients aged 18 through geriatric populations with renal, hepatic, respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, psychiatric, and infectious diseases
• Manage high-volume cases including cellulitis, COPD, diabetes, ETOH withdrawal, pneumonia, and sepsis
• Work in a fast-paced environment with level 1 trauma center volume and pace
• Float to other units as needed based on competency level

Schedule & Expectations:

• Night shifts only; no call requirements
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and includes weekends and holidays
• Facility may call off shifts with 48 hours notice for low census

Requirements:

• Valid Nevada RN license required prior to start
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience

Compensation & Details:

• Weekly pay: $2,233.80
• 91-day assignment
• Start date: June 15, 2026
