Join Nicklaus Childrens Hospital as an Echo Technologist in Miami, Florida. This 112-week travel position offers you the opportunity to work with pediatric and congenital cardiac patients in a specialized echo setting.
Position Overview
You will perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently, analyzing imaging data and presenting findings to physicians. You'll collaborate with cardiologists on fetal echocardiogram cases and assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures. Patient and family education regarding procedures and findings is part of your daily responsibilities.
Schedule and Responsibilities
- 5x8 day shifts
- On-call coverage Monday through Sunday for 3 weeks
- Handle approximately 8 visits per day in a single-room facility
- Travel between cardiology clinic locations as needed for fetal imaging coverage
- Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives
- Work with patients spanning neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, OR completion of 2–4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, OR 7+ years relevant experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- RDCS or RCS credential (registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI)
- 7–10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform pediatric and congenital echocardiograms independently
Preferred Qualifications
- ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential
- Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience
- Experience with Cerner charting system
Compensation and Duration
Weekly pay: $3,110.40. Assignment begins June 29, 2026, and runs for 112 weeks. Orientation includes billable modules averaging 2–4 hours each.
