Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and arriving on time
• Must be competent with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, with knowledge of titration and application
• Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms
• Must possess critical thinking skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene appropriately
• Must possess knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke, recognize changes in patient status, and intervene
• Must have strong communication skills
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• Assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Active Ohio nursing license required with Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required, pertinent to Med Surg/Telemetry specialty
