Opportunity:

RN - Peds; PACU RN

Job Details:

• Work 8 and 10 hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 3 x 12 hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 4 x 12 hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Indiana state nursing license must be in hand prior to start date
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating is required - candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Care for patients across multiple age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Daily census of approximately 50 patients with 42 beds on unit
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• Key skills include: PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery, conscious sedation, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), arterial line management, central line care and management, chest tube management, pain assessment and management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, nerve blocks, management of pediatric patients, blood product administration, airway assessment, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
