<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - NICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required<br>• Travel experience required<br>• Epic charting system experience required (no exceptions)<br>• Required certifications: BLS and NRP<br>• 36 hours of orientation<br>• Weekend coverage required<br>• May float within scope if needed<br>• BSN preferred<br>• Natural nail policy enforced<br>• Complete 6 hours of non-billable modules during orientation week<br>• Care for neonates from edge of viability to discharge preparation<br>• Work with premature and seriously ill infants requiring surgical and medical intervention<br>• Skills include administration of blood products, ventilator management, central line care, developmental care, and neonatal sepsis management<br>• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology<br>• Virginia or compact state nursing license required at time of submission</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a state-of-the-art 40-bed Level IV NICU that serves as the largest single-family room NICU in Central Virginia. The facility specializes in caring for critically ill neonates and premature infants, providing comprehensive medical and surgical interventions.
