About this role

Scotland County Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $2,177.28 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across multiple patient populations in acute care and emergency settings. Your responsibilities include managing mechanical ventilation, assisting with intubations, performing arterial blood gas draws and interpretation, and caring for patients on high-flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy support. You will also manage BiPAP and CPAP settings, administer inhaled medications, and support weaning protocols. Virtual consultation may be used for equipment questions; hands-on presence is required for ER and acute care situations.

Requirements

  • Missouri RRT State License
  • Current BLS, NRP, and NBRC (RRT or CRT) certifications
  • Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
  • Competency treating neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Skills in adult critical care, aerosol setup, mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy management, and emergency department protocols

On-Call Expectations

You are required to be on-call from the end of your 7:00 PM shift until clocking in the next day. Virtual support may address CPAP or BiPAP questions; emergency and acute care situations require in-person response.

Assignment Details

This is a 13-week contract beginning July 13, 2026. You may float to different units based on facility needs. Facility housing is available to support your assignment.
