Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 36 or 48-hour shift options available
• Medical Cardiology/Telemetry unit focused on cardiac patients
• Block scheduling allowed with every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Cardiac drip experience required, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Must be proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Required skills include: blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Required certifications: BLS and NIH stroke scale
• ACLS preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active Alabama RN license or compact license required and must be in good standing
• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Unit serves adult patients with a daily census of 39-42 patients across 42 beds
