RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning utilizing patient, family, and health team input
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to implement the plan of care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to the education, role development, and orientation of personnel, patients, students, and families
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate to support professional growth
• Actively participate in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Experience with Level 3 or Level 4 NICU required
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS, with additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
