Endoscopy Technician Job in Augusta, GA

Wellstar MCG Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a day shift position in Augusta, GA. You will support nurses and physicians in delivering care to endoscopy patients while maintaining sterile fields and managing all aspects of the GI lab environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare procedure rooms and sterile fields for scheduled, emergent, urgent, and add-on endoscopic procedures
• Gather and organize all required instruments and supplies prior to procedures
• Operate GI lab equipment and provide technical assistance during procedures, including equipment troubleshooting
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of endoscopes and accessories
• Transport patients and equipment; stock and maintain supplies throughout the lab
• Function independently within your scope and anticipate the needs of physicians and RN staff
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of infection control principles in the GI setting
• Assist with daily assignment planning and evaluation of new equipment and supplies
• Respond to emergency calls as needed outside normal operating hours
• Cover 2–3 weekdays of on-call per month with rotating weekend call coverage

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or ARC accepted)
• SGNA GI Tech Specialist certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to complete 2-day system endoscopy education within 30 days of hire
• Proficiency with general endoscope procedures, equipment, and supplies
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and function effectively in stressful and emergent situations
• No prior endoscopy experience required

Assignment Details:

This is a 91-week travel position beginning July 29, 2026. You will work day shift with 8 and 10 hour shift options. Weekly pay is $1,480.
