Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Outpatient

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend rotation, no on-call, and no holiday expectations
• Average of 7-8 patients per day per therapist
• Treat a predominantly geriatric patient population with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, hip fracture, total joints (hips/knees), CABG, stroke, Parkinson's, medically complex conditions, debility, respiratory failure, and spinal and abdominal surgeries
• Perform transfer training, gait training, home management, discharge planning, therapeutic exercise, and thorough documentation
• Utilize EPIC EMR system and Omnicell medication dispensing
• Work with unit-specific equipment including Hoyer lift, Hoyer Journey, modality tower, Bio Step, Motomed, parallel bars, car simulator, kitchen, practice tub, and washer and dryer
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including CNAs, charge RN, HUC, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy (24/7), and hospitalist (24/7)
• No floating required
• Orientation includes NEO and 5 shifts of unit orientation
• Required certifications: BLS and state PTA license
• Associates degree or above required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; acute care, SNF, LTC, and rehab experience accepted
