CVOR RN Job in Saginaw, MI

MyMichigan Health – Saginaw is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary assignment in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a day shift role offering 3x12-hour weeks at $2,862 weekly pay, with a 91-day contract beginning September 21, 2026.

Your Role

You will assess patient needs before and during surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. You will develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans for surgical patients. In the OR, you will supervise activity, anticipate schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, and assist anesthesia as needed. You will monitor the sterile field throughout procedures and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments. You will provide leadership to your OR team and participate in staff development through preceptorship, in-services, and continuing education.

Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• 3+ years of CVOR experience required
• Open heart experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications current
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to CVOR
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Recent travel work history highly preferred

Schedule and On-Call

You will work day shift on a 3x12 schedule. On-call is required on all days worked and weekends. Weekend call is for on-call purposes only, with reporting to work very infrequent. All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.
