Endoscopy RN Job in Elmira, NY

Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) in Elmira, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy department. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning June 28, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,774.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Work 5x8 day shifts with hours between 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call duties typically once per week and every sixth weekend
• Flexibility to coordinate call coverage with team members when providers and unit are notified

Role Responsibilities

• Provide care to both outpatients and inpatients across multiple AOMC campuses
• Prepare patients and assist with endoscopy procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments focused on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on nursing diagnoses and desired outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations following established protocols
• Conduct hourly rounding as part of daily practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families to ensure quality care

Preferred Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• Prior experience in the OR or specialized endoscopy training
• Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures and patient management
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
