Job Details:

• Night shift position working Sunday through Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Perform a wide variety of CT scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Assess patients for contraindicating conditions before administering contrast media
• Ensure proper patient identification using 2 unique identifiers prior to performing any procedure
• Position patients for procedures and operate all CT department workstations
• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injector
• Maintain competency with venipuncture
• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Send all completed studies to PACS immediately after completion
• Complete all studies in RIS before completing in PACS
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all other applicable regulatory agency standards
• Transport and assist patients on and off procedure tables
• Apply shielding, supportive, and immobilization devices as needed
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Take call when necessary
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required; CT experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Must be competent in all aspects of CT including patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and stressful work environment
