Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• Must live within 75-mile radius from hospital based on driver's license address
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience and 1 travel assignment required - no first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA)
• Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue
• Float to all acute care units and cardio for medical patients, or emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Work with telemetry patients (monitored on different unit)
• EMR system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• Work alongside CNAs with 1:8 to 1:10 patient ratios
• 1 week general orientation including EMR training plus 2 days floor-specific orientation
• 44-bed unit with 40 staff members
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
