Wound Care RN Job in Clinton, MD

Join MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital as a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care. You will work 5×8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday shift per month and every third weekend required. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,054.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage routine and complex pressure injuries, including Stage I–IV pressure ulcers and hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPI)
• Evaluate and treat common and rare dermatologic conditions, including necrotizing fasciitis
• Provide comprehensive wound and ulcer assessment and management
• Assist with new ostomy placements
• Operate wound vacs, novel wound therapies, and camera photography equipment for documentation
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with a patient ratio of 1:6

Qualifications Required:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Hospital-based nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• BLS and Wound Care Certification (WCC)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Preferred Qualifications:

• Charge nurse experience
• ACLS certification
• WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse) certification
