PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel contract beginning April 15, 2026, with a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the PCU with patient ratios of 3–4:1
• Manage post-catheterization lab and post-EP lab care
• Operate specialized equipment including sheaths, telemetry, and drips
• Document patient information using the Cerner EMR system
• Float to Medical-Surgical and step-down units as needed
• Work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Unit Staffing:

• Day shift: free charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 PCTs
• Night shift: free charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 PCT

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Charge experience preferred
• Flexibility and calm demeanor
• Navy blue scrubs required

This position offers weekly pay of $2,102.40. You will be replacing a backfill need, bringing your clinical expertise to support continuity of care in a specialized progressive care setting.
