Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Lexington, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking an RN for their Cardiac Cath Lab. This is a 1st shift position working four 10-hour shifts per week, with on-call responsibilities required. The assignment is 89 days, starting October 19, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $2,530.

Your role will include:

• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness
• Base nursing practices on evidence, current research, hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints through collection of objective and subjective data
• Obtain patient health information from family or others as necessary
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists based on input from the inter-professional team
• Determine desired outcomes in coordination with patient and family in accordance with the medical plan of care
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner and coordinating with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing
• Use clinical decision-making that incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity
