Bone Marrow Transplant RN Job in Austin, TX

You will work as an RN on a specialized 24-bed Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology unit at South Austin Hospital in Austin, TX. This is a 13-week contract position beginning October 5, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements

Clinical Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
• Manage blood product administration
• Perform frequent lab draws and cell transplants
• Operate Alaris infusion pumps
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Document care using Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Oncology experience required
• Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required
• Tumor Cell Therapy (TCT) experience required
• Full ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (15.25 contact hours) — the fundamental certificate (9 contact hours) is not accepted
• CAR-T experience preferred

Facility Standards

• Scrub color: Navy
• No artificial or gel nails permitted
• Masks required in patient care areas

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,242.
