About this role
You will provide occupational therapy services in a home health setting serving the Tampa area. This position with BayCare HomeCare Inc. offers a flexible, community-based practice where you manage your own schedule while delivering skilled rehabilitation care to adult and geriatric patients.
Position Overview
- Conduct 6–8 patient visits per day (minimum 6 points daily; manager may increase by 1 point)
- Self-scheduled visits based on office needs
- Block scheduling with 1–2 weekends required per contract
- Skilled visits covered under Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
Patient Population & Diagnoses
You will work with adults and geriatrics presenting with medical/surgical conditions, cardiac diagnoses, orthopedic injuries (hips, knees, shoulders), post-surgical recovery, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson's disease, failure to thrive, respiratory conditions, neurological diagnoses, tracheostomy patients, trauma, amputation (AKA/BKA), and activities of daily living (ADL) support.
Required Qualifications
- Florida license or compact license
- 1 year of experience
- Home health experience required
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for home visits
- BLS certification
- Charting system experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- OASIS training
- Community hospital experience
- LTAC experience
- LVST certification
- Cerner charting experience
What You Will Use
Equipment provided includes laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printers. Documentation occurs through BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet systems. You will receive interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy teams.
Schedule & Compensation
- 5 days per week, 8-hour days
- 91-day contract
- Start date: August 24, 2026
- Weekly pay: $2,352.96
