RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• ED Hold position that will float to Med Surg/Telemetry when not being utilized in ED holding
• Work 3 x 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required, no on-call requirement
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts
• 2 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele when not utilized in ED hold
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice and pathophysiology
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and dressing changes
• Provide patient and family education
• Utilize telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, ventilators, and ensure safe medication administration
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle various conditions including trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory issues, and mental health cases
• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• May float to other facility locations if census is low on home unit
• 7-year work history verification required
