Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Clinic RN position - NOT an infusion position
• Manage approximately 20-30 patient encounters per day, primarily through phone calls and MyChart messages
• Maximum of 3 chemotherapy education sessions per day
• Patient ratio of 1-2 providers with Medical Assistant support
• Common diagnoses include Pancreatic Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma, and general medical oncology
• Perform phone triage and nursing assessments
• Provide chemotherapy education both virtually and in-person
• Educate patients about treatment plans and disease processes
• Communicate with providers and teammates regarding patient care needs
• Coordinate care for complex patients and manage prescription refills
• Outpatient oncology experience required with strong triage and assessment skills
• Proficiency in Epic charting system required
• Scrub colors: Grey, Black, White, Blue or business casual attire
• 1-2 weeks onboarding with RN and provider
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ONS chemo certification (for patient education)
• Washington state or Compact nursing license required
• Driver's license required
