Pediatric Echocardiography Sonographer Job in Fairfax, VA

You will work as a Sonographer in Pediatric Echocardiography at Inova 8260 Willow Oaks in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a 180-day travel position starting August 31, 2026, offering 5x8 day shifts at $2,691 weekly.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 8 hours guaranteed per day
• No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
• Facility closed on major holidays

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies across fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Cover NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU departments
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of congenital and non-congenital heart disease
• Work with ECMO procedures, including bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement assistance
• Recognize and triage emergent situations
• Provide written communication to cardiologists
• Maintain equipment and manage procedure logging and billing
• Work collaboratively with a team of 4 scanners

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 1 year experience in pediatric sonography
• BLS and ARDMS certifications
• Knowledgeable and experienced with ECMO procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography
• Fetal Echo experience
• Adult echo experience
