Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 16-bed Med/Surg unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time required
• Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 3-4 RNs, and 1 PCA
• Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and 1 PCA
• Rotating weekends as needed for travel RNs
• Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year required
• 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year preferred
• Orthopedic or neurosurgery background preferred; Med/Surg/Telemetry background will suffice
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
• Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Use standard medical equipment
• Scrubs required
• Required certification: RN
• Friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality preferred
